Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use the Hudava app and this website: what the service is, what it is not, how subscriptions work, and what we ask of you.
Effective 2 October 2026
The short version
- Hudava is a learning aid. AI answers are educational and are not religious rulings.
- Reading, listening and core study tools are free. Plus and Pro are optional subscriptions.
- Subscriptions are billed, renewed and refunded through the App Store or Google Play.
- What you write in the app — notes, reflections, questions — remains yours.
This summary is a guide. The full text below is what applies.
01
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Hudava: Learn Quran with AI mobile application and the website at hudava.com (together, “Hudava” or the “service”), provided by Hudava (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Hudava, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of these terms.
02
What Hudava provides
Hudava is a tool for reading, understanding and memorizing the Quran. It offers the Arabic text, translations, tafsir, word-by-word analysis, recitation audio, search, topics, bookmarks and notes, Hifz planning and practice, and AI features that explain and answer questions. We may add, change or remove features as the service develops.
03
Accounts
You can use much of Hudava as a guest. Some features, including bookmarks, notes, Hifz plans and saved chat history, require an account, which you can create with an email address or with Google.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
- If you are under the age of majority where you live, use Hudava with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
You can delete your account at any time. See Delete your account.
04
Quran content and its sources
The Arabic text, translations, tafsir, word data and recitations in Hudava come from published sources, listed on our website. They are presented for study and remain the work of their respective authors, translators, reciters and publishers.
We take the accuracy of Quranic content seriously and work to present it faithfully. If you notice an error, please report it from Help & About in the app or by writing to support@hudava.com so we can correct it.
05
AI features
Hudava includes features powered by artificial intelligence, including AI chat, ayah explanations, tafsir summaries, related ayahs, reflection questions, memorization help and AI Check.
- AI output is generated to assist your learning. It is based on stored Quran text and tafsir, but it can still be incomplete or wrong.
- AI output is not a fatwa or religious ruling, and Hudava is not a religious authority. For binding rulings, consult qualified Islamic scholars.
- AI Check compares the words of your recitation with the text of the ayah and reports words that were correct, omitted or substituted. It does not evaluate tajweed, pronunciation quality or melody, and it is not a substitute for a teacher.
- AI features may have usage limits that depend on your plan.
06
Plans, subscriptions and billing
Hudava is free to use. Optional Plus and Pro subscriptions give expanded access to AI and voice features. The features and limits of each plan are shown in the app and may change over time.
- Payment. Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase. We do not process or store your payment details.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; please request them through the store you purchased from.
- Prices. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, may vary by country, and may change for future billing periods.
Deleting your Hudava account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store first.
07
Acceptable use
Hudava is for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that harms others.
- Attempt to access another person’s account or data.
- Reverse-engineer the app, or scrape, overload or interfere with our servers and interfaces.
- Circumvent plan limits, security measures or access controls.
- Use the AI features to produce content that is harmful, abusive or disrespectful to the Quran.
- Resell, redistribute or commercially exploit the service or its content without permission.
08
Your content
Notes, reflections, questions and other content you create in Hudava remain yours. You give us permission to store and process that content only as needed to provide the service to you — for example, to save your notes to your account or to answer a question you asked. Notes are private to your account.
09
Ownership
The Hudava app, its design, software and the Hudava name and logo belong to us or our licensors. Quran translations, tafsir, word data and recitations belong to their respective owners and are used with attribution. These terms do not give you any rights in them beyond using the service as intended.
10
Third-party services
Hudava relies on third-party services, including the app stores, sign-in providers, AI providers and audio hosts. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
11
Disclaimers
Hudava is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but to the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every piece of content or AI output will be accurate or complete. Hudava supports your learning; it does not replace qualified teachers and scholars.
12
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of Hudava, or for reliance placed on AI output. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
13
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Hudava and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access to the service for anyone who seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where required to protect the service or other users.
14
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Hudava after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
